LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — Bears veteran receiver Keenan Allen returned to practice Wednesday in a limited fashion.
Allen has been dealing with plantar fasciitis and missed the Bears’ last two games. He didn't travel with the team to Indianapolis last Sunday. Allen played in the season opener on Sept. 8, hauling in four receptions, but he didn't finish the game due to pain in his heel.
Allen began dealing with the injury late in the preseason, and the Bears have monitored his recovery and pain tolerance since. A six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, Allen was acquired from the Chargers in a trade in March.
Bears right tackle Darnell Wright (back) was held out of practice Wednesday. Veteran pass rusher Darrell Taylor (illness), defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) and cornerback Terell Smith (hip) also didn't practice.
Star pass rusher Montez Sweat (elbow), right guard Nate Davis (groin), left tackle Braxton Jones (knee), defensive tackle Andrew Billings (knee) and fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) were each limited in their work.
The Bears (1-2) host the Rams (1-2) on Sunday at Soldier Field. Kickoff is set for noon CT.
