(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Brian Urlacher, the Bears legend and Hall of Fame linebacker whose hairy head has been a key fixture of hair restoration billboards in the Chicago area for years, is seeking $50,000 from Houston Hair Transplant Center.

The company recently published a blog post about Urlacher’s hair restoration as a form of advertisement to promote its own hair restoration business and services, according to attorneys for the 44-year-old Urlacher.

Urlacher has been a spokesman for Oakbrook-based Restore Hair since 2014.

He argued in the lawsuit that the Houston center’s post has portrayed him in a “false light” and “damaged his reputation.”

Urlacher added that the blog post cost him money.

A hearing for the suit is scheduled for Jan. 23 at 9:30 a.m.
