After a 4-touchdown performance in Bears' win, Caleb Williams credits teammates, coaches for his growth

(670 The Score) Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams continues to showcase growth during his first NFL season.

Williams was 23-of-29 for 226 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in the Bears’ 35-16 win over the Jaguars on Sunday in London. He became the franchise’s first rookie quarterback since Cade McNown in 1999 to throw four touchdown passes in a game.

When asked about his success following the win Sunday, Williams credited those around him first.

“Offensive line, coaching, progress, the leadership on this team,” Williams told reporters in London. “For me, the constant mindset of ‘keep going.’ Us getting out there and getting our momentum going, us going out there and executing, believing in each other, is what you credit it to.”

The No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft in April, Williams has thrown for 1,317 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions in his first six NFL starts, over which the Bears have started 4-2.

The Bears return stateside to their bye this week. They'll be back in action when they visit the Washington Commanders on Oct. 27.
