Bears quarterback Justin Fields thrived with moving pockets and designed runs from offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. Fields went 13-of-21 for 179 yards, one touchdown and a deflected interception while adding a career-high 14 carries for 82 yards and a score.

Fields believes the Bears’ offensive plan helped open other opportunities up as the Bears posted 390 total yards, including 243 on the ground.

“I thought it brought a whole different element to our offense,” Fields told reporters at Gillette Stadium following the Bears’ victory. “We executed that well.

“It makes our offense more complex. Just getting us out of the pocket, more designed quarterback runs, it just opens it up a little bit more.”

Fields’ previous high in carries came in the Bears’ last game, a 12-7 loss to the Commanders on Oct. 13 in which he rushed 12 times for 88 yards. His career-high rushing total came when he ran for 103 yards on 10 carries against the 49ers in 2021.

Fields recorded both a passing and rushing touchdown during the first half of Chicago's win at New England on Monday.
