(670 The Score) When the time comes for quarterback Justin Fields to lead the Bears, he should fit into "Club Dub" after they earn victories.
“I’m going to have to give it to him, Justin is a better dancer,” his sister Jaiden said on the Bernstein & Rahimi Show on Friday. “Just because he’s doing it all the time. But I don’t think I’m far behind him. But I will have to give that one to Justin. So make sure you all tell him to bust a move every now and then so he can expose his dancing, because I’m not going to lie, he is a pretty good dancer.”
Competition runs deep in the Fields family. The 20-year-old Jaiden is a standout outfielder for the Georgia softball team, which advanced to the Women’s College World Series before exiting at the hands of eventual champion Oklahoma. Jaiden hit .315 as a redshirt sophomore this past season, the second-best mark on the Bulldogs.
“Everything has always been a competition,” Jaiden said of her childhood alongside Justin. “Ever since we were young, we were racing up the stairs or we’d get off the bus stop and see who could make it home faster. He definitely made everything a competition in our house, including my younger sister Jessica too. She’s definitely taken over that role as being really competitive. All three of us have been competitive our whole lives and have carried that over to the field and on to other parts of our lives.”
Jaiden believes 22-year-old Justin is ready to handle the spotlight and scrutiny that comes with being the great hope and potential savior for a Bears franchise with a tortured quarterback history.
“I really look up to him, I have my whole life,” Jaiden said. “Just to see his hard work pay and get to see him become the young man that he is, I don’t think I would’ve wanted it any other way. It’s inspired me and my younger sister as well to work hard and understand that God has a plan. Any obstacles or challenges that are facing your way are there for a reason and everything turns out how it’s supposed to be. I couldn’t be more excited for him to be in Chicago. I’ve heard you guys are a really great fan base.”
