(AUDACY) Nothing seems to be going right for the Detroit Lions this season.
A week after losing to the Baltimore Ravens on a record-breaking 66-yard field goal, the Lions on Sunday once again managed to do something that seemingly no one has ever seen before on a football field — and not in a good way.

In the first quarter against the Bears, quarterback Jared Goff was making an adjustment at the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped prematurely.
The ball hit Goff in the shoulder and landed in the hands of Bears defensive lineman Bilal Nichols for one of the most bizarre turnovers you’ll see in a game.
The official ruling on the field was a fumble charged to Goff.
It was a costly turnover too. Detroit was on Chicago's 8-yard line while trailing 7-0, and the Bears responded by going the length of the field in just six plays to capitalize on the turnover and extend their lead to 14-0.
Hey, at least it wasn't as bad as the infamous "Butt Fumble."
