(670 The Score) Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk can’t envision a world in which the Bears hire a new head coach who has a defensive background.
“When you hear that the No. 1 concern is Caleb Williams and getting the most out of Caleb Williams as he enters year two, it's impossible to see anyone other than an offensive coach getting that job,” Florio said on the Bernstein & Harris Show on Wednesday. “They would have to be completely and totally blown away by a defensive coach. And part of the plan would have to be, here’s my first offensive coordinator and when he does so well he becomes a head coach somewhere else, here’s my second offensive coordinator and here’s my third offensive coordinator. I want Sean Payton-Drew Brees. I want joined at the hip. I can only imagine it’s going to be an offensive guy.”
