Report: Bears outside linebackers coach Ted Monachino leaving for job with Falcons

Monachino will fill the same role in Atlanta.

(670 The Score) Bears outside linebackers coach Ted Monachino is leaving the organization to take the same position with the Falcons, NFL Media reported Tuesday afternoon.

Monachino was hired by the Bears in January 2019 after the team hired Chuck Pagano as its defensive coordinator. With the retirement of Pagano and promotion of Sean Desai from safeties coach to become the new defensive coordinator, the Bears have seen turnover on their coaching staff.

The Bears are also expected to lose defensive line coach Jay Rodgers to the Chargers, according to reports. That hasn't been officially announced yet.

The Bears also lost passing game coordinator Dave Ragone and running backs coach Charles London to the Falcons' new coaching staff.
