(670 The Score) Quarterback Jameis Winston reached an agreement on a one-year deal Monday evening to return to the Saints, but there was at least one other team interested in his services.

The Bears were a suitor for Winston before he reached a deal with the Saints, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported.

Winston, 27, was the Saints' backup in 2020 after spending five years as the Buccaneers' starting quarterback. The No. 1 overall pick in 2015, Winston has had an inconsistent career to this point, including when he threw for 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in 2019.

The Bears are back in the quarterback market after allowing Mitchell Trubisky to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
