(670 The Score) After being hired by the Bears as their new general manager Tuesday, Ryan Poles stepped in to lead an interview with head coach candidate Jim Caldwell.

Caldwell had his second interview with the Bears, and he's considered one of three finalists for the team's head coach opening. Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus and Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn are also thought to be finalists and are scheduled to interview with Poles on Wednesday, ESPN reported.
The 67-year-old Caldwell was previously the head coach of the Colts (2009-'11) and Lions (2014-'17), compiling a 62-50 regular-season record between those two jobs. He most recently served as the Dolphins' assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach in 2019.
Caldwell produced five winning seasons and four postseason berths in his seven years as a head coach. He has also interviewed to be the Jaguars' head coach.
The Bears have interviewed 10 candidates for head coach: Caldwell, Eberflus, Quinn, Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, former Dolphins coach Brian Flores and former Eagles coach Doug Pederson.
The interview with Caldwell was the first conducted by Poles after the 10 head coach candidates previously met with the Bears' search team.
