(670 The Score) Bears defensive coordinator Sean Desai has cleared COVID-19 protocols and will coach Chicago's game against Minnesota on Monday night at Soldier Field, but the team will likely be missing offensive coordinator Bill Lazor and special teams coordinator Chris Tabor, who hadn't cleared protocols yet as of Monday morning.

Speaking on WBBM Newsradio 780, Bears coach Matt Nagy indicated he'll serve as the team's play-caller on offense as part of a collaborative effort with passing game coordinator John DeFilippo, who will serve as offensive coordinator with Lazor sidelined. Bears assistant special teams coach Brian Ginn will serve in Tabor's place.

"Offensively, I'll be returning to -- I'll obviously be helping out with the play-calling like all the time," Nagy said on his weekly appearance with WBBM Newsradio 780. "But at the same time, I think (DeFilippo) and I are going to do a great job of working together as we help Justin (Fields) out, help our guys out and making sure we do everything we can to put these guys in the best position possible."

All three of the Bears' coordinators tested positive for the virus early last week. On a conference call Friday, they each indicated they were feeling well and hoped to coach Monday. Desai, Lazor and Tabor each contributed in building the Bears' game plan through virtual communication while in isolation.

"I'd say it's frustrating, but there's not much I can do about it," said Lazor, who has served as the Bears' play-caller on offense since early October.

The Bears (4-9) and Vikings (6-7) kick off at 7:15 p.m. CT Monday from Soldier Field.
