Bears punter Tory Taylor named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) Bears rookie punter Tory Taylor on Wednesday was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Taylor punted five times for an average of 55.4 yards in the Bears' 24-18 win against the Rams on Sunday at Soldier Field. He dropped three punts inside the Rams' 20-yard line, including twice pinning them at their own 8-yard line.

Taylor is the first Bears player to earn NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors since kicker Cairo Santos in 2022, and he's the first Chicago punter to garner the recognition since Brad Maynard in 2007.

The Bears (2-2) will host the Panthers (1-3) on Sunday at Soldier Field.
