The team’s first-round pick in 2020, Reichel is back after appearing in two games for Chicago in January. He has 14 goals and 33 points in 33 games at Rockford this season.
In other moves, the Blackhawks placed forward Jonathan Toews on injured reserve, retroactive to Jan. 26. He has been in the concussion protocol. Chicago also transferred forward Jujhar Khaira (lower back) from injured reserve to long-term injured reserve.
The Blackhawks host the Stars on Friday evening at the Untied Center. Reichel is set to be on the first line with Patrick Kane and Brandon Hagel, Ben Pope of the Sun-Times reported.
