Blackhawks sign forward Jujhar Khaira to a 2-year contract

Khaira had 11 points in 40 games for Edmonton last season.

(670 The Score) The Blackhawks have signed forward Jujhar Khaira to a two-year contract, they announced Wednesday afternoon less than two hours after NHL free agency officially opened.

Khaira’s deal will carry a $975,000 cap hit through the 2022-’23 season. He had 11 points (three goals, eight assists) and a career-high 151 hits in 40 games for the Edmonton Oilers last season.

Khaira, 26, was selected by Edmonton in the third round of the 2012 draft. He has 24 goals and 39 assists in 258 career games.
