(670 The Score) The Blackhawks signed winger Tyler Bertuzzi to a four-year deal worth $5.5 million annually, the team announced Monday a couple hours after NHL free agency officially opened.
Bertuzzi, 29, had 21 goals and 22 assists in 80 games with the Maple Leafs last season. He has played eight NHL seasons, including seven years with the Red Wings and 21 games with the Bruins in 2023.
Bertuzzi has 113 goals and 148 assists in 406 career games. He's the nephew of former NHL All-Star forward Todd Bertuzzi.
In another move, the Blackhawks also added veteran defenseman Alec Martinez on a one-year deal. Martinez, 36, had four goals and 13 assists in 55 games for Vegas this past season.
