Chicago opens its season at the reigning Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning on Jan. 13. The Blackhawks will host the Detroit Red Wings for their home opener at a fan-less United Center on Jan. 22. They play six of their first eight games on the road. Here’s a look at the schedule below.
In an effort to reduce travel amid the pandemic, the NHL has realigned into four divisions for the 2021 season. Teams will only face other members of their division in the regular season. The top four teams in each division will qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
