(670 The Score) Bulls guard/forward Alex Caruso has earned second-team all-defense honors, the NBA announced Tuesday afternoon.
Caruso ranked fourth in the NBA with 1.7 steals per game and led the league with 3.7 deflections per game. He also ranked fifth with 1.0 loose balls recovered per game.
This marked the second straight year that Caruso earned an all-defense honor. He was first-team all-defense in 2022-’23.
Big men dominated the all-defensive first team this season on a ballot that was position-less for the first time. Wolves center Rudy Gobert, Spurs center Victor Wembanyama, Heat center Bam Adebayo, Lakers center Anthony Davis and Pelicans wing Herb Jones earned first-team honors.
Caruso, Celtics guard Jrue Holiday, Celtics guard Derrick White, Magic guard Jalen Suggs and Wolves forward Jaden McDaniels earned second-team honors.
