CHICAGO (670 The Score) – The possibility is growing that Bulls star guard Zach LaVine has played his final game for the organization.

LaVine will miss the next three to four weeks in order to treat his right foot inflammation, the Bulls announced late Wednesday night. The injury update on LaVine came after the Bulls earned a 111-100 win against the Hornets at the United Center, their third straight victory since LaVine was sidelined. The Bulls improved to 8-14 with the win.

LaVine initially felt discomfort in the foot in a game on Nov. 18, he previously told reporters. He last played on Nov. 28, when he exited early from the Bulls’ loss to the Celtics.

The context surrounding LaVine’s injury is that he and his representation have made it known to the Bulls that he’s open to being traded, a development that feels more like an inevitability than a possibility. When a deal could be made remains uncertain, but more NBA players become trade-eligible on Dec. 15, making the days/weeks that follow a key time frame.

LaVine has struggled this season in averaging 21.0 points while shooting 44.3%, a pair of figures that are his lowest marks since the 2017-’18 campaign, when he returned midseason after rehabbing a torn ACL.
