Report: Cubs' search for new general manager is focused on 4 main candidates

(Audacy) Cubs president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer has narrowed down his search for a new general manager.

Hoyer is now focusing on four candidates, according to Sahadev Sharma and Patrick Mooney of the Athletic. The finalists are Cleveland assistant general manager Carter Hawkins, Cleveland vice president of player development James Harris, Tampa Bay vice president of player development and international scouting Carlos Rodriguez and Minnesota assistant general manager Jeremy Zoll, the Athletic reported.
