(670 The Score) Amid a series of roster moves, the Cubs on Friday placed lefty reliever Brad Wieck on the injured list with an irregular heartbeat.
Wieck has a terrific this season, as he’s unscored upon in 17 innings across 15 appearances this season.
In other moves, the Cubs activated reliever Ryan Tepera from the injured list, recalled reliever Kyle Ryan and optioned right-hander Cory Abbott to Triple-A Iowa.
Tepera has a 3.35 ERA in 37 appearances. He had been suffering from a calf strain.
Ryan has allowed one run in 2 2/3 innings across three appearances this season. Abbott has a 6.35 ERA in 11 1/3 innings across five appearances.
