Megill has thrown three scoreless innings across four appearances for the Cubs this season.

In a corresponding move, the Cubs optioned righty reliever Tommy Nance to Tripe-A Iowa. Nance has a 3.20 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 18 appearances this season. He threw 44 pitches in three innings of work in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.
