(670 The Score) First baseman Trey Mancini has agreed to a two-year deal with the Cubs, Jesse Rogers of ESPN reported Saturday night.

The deal includes an opt-out clause for Mancini after the first season, according to the report. It wasn’t immediately clear how much the contract was worth.
Mancini, 30, hit .239 with 18 homers, 63 RBIs and a .710 OPS in 143 games split between the Orioles and Astros in 2022. He had spent his entire career with Baltimore before being traded to Houston last season, and he earned a World Series ring with the Astros.
The righty bat Mancini is expected to split time at first base with lefty bat Eric Hosmer for the Cubs, and Mancini also projects to be in the designated hitter mix.
Mancini has hit .265 with a .787 OPS in his six-year MLB career.
