Report: Dodgers interested in White Sox starter Lucas Giolito

(670 The Score) As the White Sox prepare for a potential sell-off, there's trade interest looming.

The Dodgers are interested in White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reported on Thursday.

Giolito, 28, is 6-5 with a 3.45 ERA over 19 starts this season. He is playing the final season of his current contract with the White Sox and slated to become a free agent next offseason.

The key return in a 2016 trade with the Nationals, Giolito is 59-51 with a 4.17 ERA with the White Sox. He was named an All-Star during a breakout season in 2019. Giolito struggled last season, finishing 11-9 with a 4.90 ERA.

Giolito grew up just north of Los Angeles in Burbank.

The MLB trade deadline is Aug. 1.
