(670 The Score) Former Cubs outfielder Mike Tauchman has found a new team but isn’t leaving town.
Tauchman has agreed to a deal with the White Sox, according to multiple reports late Monday from the Winter Meetings in Dallas. MLB.com writer Scott Merkin was the first to report the news.
Tauchman, 34, spent the last two seasons with the Cubs before they non-tendered him in November. Tauchman hit .248 with seven homers, 29 RBIs and a .723 OPS in 109 games in 2024. He posted a .360 on-base percentage for the Cubs across the past two seasons.
Tauchman projects to be a part of the White Sox’s mix in right field. He's a native of Palatine.
