(670 The Score) White Sox outfielder Adam Engel is once again plagued by a right hamstring strain.
The White Sox on Tuesday placed Engel on the 10-day injured list, a move that’s retroactive to Sunday. Engel originally suffered a right hamstring strain in March late in spring training, and it sidelined him until June 6 before flaring up again now.
Engel is hitting .241 with three homers, four RBIs and an .864 OPS in 10 games this season.
In a corresponding move, Chicago recalled outfielder Luis Gonzalez from Triple-A Charlotte. Gonzales is hitting .195 with three homers and 11 RBIs in 24 games at Triple-A.
