Chicago selected the contract of outfielder Jake Marisnick from Triple-A Charlotte, recalled right-hander Nick Padilla from Triple-A, place outfielder Billy Hamilton on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain and designated right-hander Alexander Colome for assignment.
Marisnick was hitting .264 with one homer, nine RBIs and eight stolen bases in 30 games at Triple-A this season. He’s a career .228 hitter across 10 MLB seasons.
Padilla had posted a 3.86 ERA in 12 relief appearances at Triple-A.
Hamilton was 0-for-2 at the plate with two steals in three games with the White Sox since joining them on May 2. Colome allowed two earned runs in three innings across four appearances for Chicago since joining the club on May 2.
