(670 The Score) Outfielder Adam Eaton’s second stint with the White Sox didn’t last long.
The White Sox have designated Eaton for assignment, they announced Wednesday morning. Eaton, 32, has struggled for most of the season, hitting .201 with five homers, 28 RBIs and a .642 OPS in 58 games while also being slowed by injury.

Eaton played for the White Sox from 2014 to 2016 before being traded to the Nationals. He re-signed with Chicago on a one-year, $7-million deal last December.
In a corresponding move, the White Sox activated outfielder Adam Engel from the injured list. He has played in just 10 games this season due to a serious hamstring injury that he suffered in spring training. Engel is hitting .241 with three homers and an .864 OPS in those 10 games in 2021.
