(670 The Score) White Sox center fielder Luis Robert Jr. has been one of MLB’s best sluggers this season, and he’ll soon get a chance to showcase his talent in the national spotlight.

Robert will participate in the Home Run Derby next Monday in Seattle as part of the All-Star festivities, he and the White Sox both announced Wednesday. It will mark the first time that the 25-year-old Robert will compete in the Home Run Derby, as he’s also an All-Star for the first time.

Robert has 25 homers and a .916 OPS in 84 games this season. His 25 homers are tied for the third-most in MLB entering play Wednesday.

Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez, Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts, Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena, Mets first baseman Pete Alonso and Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman are the other six confirmed Home Run Derby participants. One more spot needs to be filled.
