(670 The Score) Out since May 2 with a tear of his right hip flexor, White Sox center fielder Luis Robert will rejoin the team Monday in Minnesota, manager Tony La Russa told reporters Sunday.
Robert is expected to be in the starting lineup Monday. He has been on a rehab stint for nearly the past three weeks, hitting .268 with one homer, six RBIs and a .778 OPS in 12 games at high Class-A and Triple-A.
Robert, 24, hurt himself while sprinting to first base on May 2. He was cleared on June 29 to resume baseball activities. He was hitting .316 with an .822 OPS at the time of his injury.
Robert had 11 homers and a .738 OPS in the shortened 2020 season, when he also won a Gold Glove.
