(670 The Score) The White Sox on Thursday placed infielder Jake Burger on the 10-day injured list with a strained left oblique.
Burger suffered the injury during an at-bat in the fourth inning of the White Sox’s 6-4 win against the Twins on Wednesday evening. He’s hitting .224 with a team-leading seven homers and 14 RBIs in 23 games this season.
In a corresponding move, the White Sox recalled 23-year-old infielder Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte. Sosa hit .151 with one homer and three RBIs in 16 games for the White Sox earlier this season before he was demoted Tuesday.
After a recent 10-game losing streak, the White Sox have won three straight games. They host the Twins on Thursday afternoon at Guaranteed Rate Field, where they'll go for the sweep of the AL Central rival.
