White Sox SS Tim Anderson out 2-4 weeks with sprained left knee

(670 The Score) The White Sox have placed All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson on the 10-day injured list with a sprained left knee, which he suffered during the team's 4-3 win over the Twins on Monday.

Anderson is expected to miss two-to-four weeks with the injury. The White Sox have recalled infielder Lenyn Sosa from Triple-A Charlotte.

The 29-year-old Anderson, an All-Star last season, was hitting. .298 over 11 games this season. Sosa, 23, was 13-for-29 (.448) over nine games in Charlotte this season.

The White Sox take on the Twins on Tuesday at Target Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. CT in Minneapolis.
