(670 The Score) White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon fired a no-hitter against the Indians on Wednesday, striking out seven hitters and allowing just one baserunner in an 8-0 win at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Rodon took a perfect game into the ninth inning but hit Indians catcher Roberto Perez in the foot with one out in the inning. He completed the no-hitter against Cleveland leadoff man Jordan Luplow, who hit a hard groundball to third base that Yoan Moncada fielded cleanly and threw to first base.

The No. 4 overall pick by the White Sox in the 2014 draft, Rodon was non-tendered last offseason. He had battled numerous injuries and underwent Tommy John surgery in 2019, then had to earn his spot on the roster this spring.

Rodon's gem was the 20th no-hitter in franchise history.
