Cubs' Marcus Stroman, Justin Steele, Dansby Swanson and White Sox's Luis Robert Jr. named All-Stars

(670 The Score) Cubs right-hander Marcus Stroman, Cubs left-hander Justin Steele, Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson and White Sox center fielder Luis Robert Jr. were named All-Stars on Sunday.

This marks Stroman’s second All-Star honor, as he also received it in 2019. He’s 9-6 with a 2.76 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 18 starts this season.

Steele is 9-2 with a National League-best 2.43 ERA and an NL-best 1.03 WHIP in 15 starts. This is his first All-Star selection.

Swanson was named an All-Star for the second time. He was hitting .261 with nine homers, 35 RBIs and a .755 OPS in 79 games entering Sunday. Swanson has also been one of the best defensive shortstops in MLB.

Robert earned his first All-Star honor. Entering Sunday, he was hitting .276 with 24 homers, 46 RBIs and a .907 OPS in 82 games

The All-Star Game will be held July 11 in Seattle.
