Anderson returns after being sidelined since suffering a nasty ankle sprain on June 25. He's hitting .317 with 11 homers, 37 RBIs and an .833 OPS in 72 games this season.
In other moves, the White Sox recalled right-hander Carson Fulmer from Triple-A Charlotte and optioned outfielder Ryan Cordell to Triple-A.
Fulmer, 25, has posted a 6.32 ERA in 13 appearances across four stints with the White Sox earlier this season. He had a 4.50 ERA in 22 appearances at Triple-A. His addition comes after the White Sox optioned struggling right-hander Dylan Covey to Triple-A following his poor start Sunday.
Cordell was hitting .234 with five homers and 18 RBIs in 69 games for the White Sox.
