Rookie second baseman Nick Madrigal exited early against the Brewers on Tuesday evening because of a left shoulder injury. Madrigal had an awkward slide in the third inning, after which he looked to be in discomfort. He'll be further evaluated in Chicago on Wednesday.
Madrigal, 23, made his MLB debut last Friday. He's 5-of-17 at the plate in five games.
Designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion also left early because of shoulder soreness and will be further evaluated. Encarnacion is 6-of-30 with one homer in eight games.
The White Sox have been hit hard by injuries, with two starting rotation members in right-hander Reynaldo Lopez and left-hander Carlos Rodon already on the injured list.
