The White Sox declined to tender contracts to infielder Yolmer Sanchez, right-hander Ryan Burr and left-hander Caleb Frare. They also released right-hander Thyago Vieira.
The organization did tender contracts to reliever Alex Colomé, left-hander Carlos Rodón, reliever Evan Marshall and utilityman Leury García, who are all arbitration-eligible.
News of the White Sox placing Sanchez on waivers had been previously reported. He hit .252 with two homers, 43 RBIs and a .638 OPS in 149 games this past season.
Burr had a 4.58 ERA in 16 appearances for the White Sox in 2019. He has a 5.52 ERA across two MLB seasons.
Frare had a 10.13 ERA in five appearances and has a 6.52 ERA in two MLB seasons.
Vieira was released in order to pursue an opportunity to play in Japan. He had a 9.00 ERA in six appearances this past season and a 7.36 ERA across three MLB seasons.
The White Sox's 40-man roster now sits at 36 players.
