Bañuelos is suffering from left shoulder soreness, which caused him to leave his start at Cleveland in the fifth inning Tuesday. He's 2-3 with a 7.26 ERA in nine appearances, including five starts.
In a corresponding move, Chicago has recalled right-hander José Ruiz from Triple-A. Ruiz, 24, has posted a 5.40 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the White Sox this season.
