Jones, 33, is on the 60-day injured list following surgery on his right forearm. He had a 3.48 ERA in 13 appearances for the White Sox this season. He had been with the team since 2012.
Castro, 22, had a 2.02 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in nine appearances, including seven starts, with the Dominican Summer League Rangers. Texas signed him as an international free agent in April 2016. Castro will be assigned to the Dominican Summer League White Sox.
Jarneski, 19, had a 1.62 WHIP in 10 appearances for the Arizona Rookie League Rangers. Texas selected him in the 12th round of the 2017 amateur draft. He missed the entire 2018 season recovering from right elbow surgery. Jarneski will be assigned to the Arizona Rookie League White Sox.
