Eagles rookie Jordan Davis is slowly but surely starting to establish himself as a fan and media favorite in the city of brotherly love before ever stepping foot on the field. He cracks jokes during pressers and always seems to have a smile on his face.

On the recent episode of Chris Long's Green Light podcast, the rookie defensive tackle shared that while he's excited about his career in Philly, he may need a little help adjusting to a totally new city in a different part of the country, being born and raised in Charlotte and playing his college ball in Georgia.

The conversation started off with a little football talk but then veered off into discussing Greek mythology and something that Eagles fans may want to know-- what the big man's favorite cheesesteak has been so far. According to Davis, he's tried a few of the notable suspects like Tony Lukes and Delassandro's but claims the cheesesteak that is made at the Eagles practice facilities is the best he's had.

"I had a few," Davis told Long, who broke out into laughter. "I would say the [Eagles] facilities cheesesteak is the best cheesesteak I ever had. I would say that's the best-kept secret in Philly."

The funniest part of the interview occurred when Long asked Davis whether he'd made any major purchases since getting drafted and signing his first-ever NFL deal in May, which included a nearly-$10 million signing bonus.

Davis said he's still lookign for a place to settle down at and explained how he's taking into account the tolls if he lives in Jersey. looking for a place to live, and explained that he's been considering things like tolls if he chooses to live in New Jersey. That conversation led driving in Philly which Davis admitted had him tripped up because you can't make a right on red.

"I'll tell you what the biggest culture shock for me was, it was the no turn on red. Coming from the South, you pull up to a light, you can make a right turn and you're like, 'Alright, boom,' and keep it pushing. But it's like, you're just sitting here - and not to incriminate myself or anything but I've made a couple mistakes, I turn right on red and I'm like, 'Ooooh, I just seen the sign.'"

As someone who had to move to Philly for a job myself [albeit not in the NFL] I can certainly relate to Davis' struggles with adjusting to a new and unfamiliar city.

Hopefully someone on the roster will inform Davis about the dubious reputation of the PPA if this ever does happen again.
