Lindor, 25, missed all of spring training with a strained calf. He suffered the ankle sprain right before the start of the regular season, which delayed his return.

The Indians enter play on Tuesday with the worst team batting average in Major League Baseball (.196). They're also last in hits (98) and 29th in total bases (158).

Lindor is expected to play five or six innings in his first start. The Indians are hopeful that he can return to the big-league club in 10-14 days.
