CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Wednesday night's Spurs-Cavs game at Rocket mortgage FieldHouse was postponed due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols the NBA announced Tuesday.

San Antonio's game at Detroit was postponed Monday due to a positive COVID-19 test and contact tracing the league said, so the news is not a surprise.

"Because of ongoing contact tracing within the Spurs, San Antonio does not have the league-required eight available players to proceed with the scheduled game against the Cavaliers," the statement said.

The NBA also postponed San Antonio's games at New York Saturday and Indiana Monday.

The league also announced that the Charlotte Hornets' next two games – Wednesday against the Bulls and Friday against the Nuggets were postponed due to health and safety protocols.

Denver will travel to Cleveland instead to play the Cavs the NBA announced.
