In the video, Ortiz will compare his golf and baseball swings. Can you guess which one is better?

“We’re really excited to have a partnership with him in our coverage — and to welcome fans to Boston,” said Will Staeger, LIV’s chief media officer. “And while he’s at it, have a little fun with some of the players. Have a look at what a golf swing looks like compared to a baseball swing.”

The Saudi-backed renegade league has generated backlash since its inception earlier this year, with critics accusing Saudi Arabia of “sportswashing” its atrocious human rights record. Former PGA stars, including Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka, have been lambasted for taking multimillion-dollar paydays and joining LIV.

Families of 9/11 victims have been especially vocal in their disapproval of the upstart league, given Saudi Arabia’s connection to 9/11. A group called 9/11 Justice released an ad Wednesday calling on people to contact the International Club and express their opposition to LIV’s tournament.

“This is blood money,” says one of the family members featured in the ad.

Ortiz is not expected to attend the event in person.
