Josh Hart helped seal a dramatic Knicks win over the Cavaliers on Sunday night, draining a dagger 3-pointer from the corner right in front of Cleveland’s bench to extend New York’s lead to six with 1:36 left in the fourth quarter.
Hart, after the shot went down, turned to the Cavaliers players on the bench with the thought of talking some trash, but instead, Donovan Mitchell’s flashy necklace caught his eye.
Hart quickly grabbed it, gave it a look, and continued down the court for the next possession. After the game, Hart told reporters, including Fred Katz of The Athletic, that he liked Mitchell’s chain and made sure to shout to the injured Cavalier, “Oooh, that’s nice!”
It was a big night for Hart, who guided the shorthanded Knicks to victory after Jalen Brunson left the game after the first minute with a knee contusion. Hart responded by hauling in 19 rebounds to go along with his 13 points and 10 assists to complete the triple-double.
