Laurence Holmes, a host on Chicago's 670 The Score, has launched a new podcast in conjunction with RADIO.COM called "LoHo Daily," a free-flowing show that will delve into the hottest sports stories in the country and also showcase his interviewing skills by featuring insightful guests. Weekday episodes will be posted in the afternoons.

In the baseball-themed first episode, Holmes detailed the goals for LoHo Daily then was joined by Bob Kendrick, the president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City. They discussed the history of the league, why Hank Aaron is Kendrick's favorite player and the legacy of Jackie Robinson.

"Just an absolute model of consistency, but because he did it in almost an unassuming fashion, people don't take note," Kendrick said of the 85-year-old Aaron, who on April 8 will celebrate the 45th anniversary of passing Babe Ruth to break baseball's all-time home run record, now held by Barry Bonds. "He wasn't as flamboyant as Willie Mays. His hat didn't blow off when he ran like Willie did, and if you ask Henry, Henry will say, 'Willie probably wore his hat a size too big so it would blow off and make him look like he was running faster.'"

"And then the class and grace and dignity with which he carried himself throughout his career," Kendrick continued, "but particularly during that tumultuous time that he was making his ascent in terms of breaking Ruth's record."
