The Legal Tampering Period began on Monday at Noon, with deals able to be officially agreed to on Wednesday at 4 p.m. But the NFL is looking into two separate instances for possible tampering, one of those involving the Atlanta Falcons.

The NFL is investigating some discussions had by the Falcons and Kirk Cousins and those of the Eagles with RB Saquon Barkley for tampering. The issue for Kirk Cousins comes from comments made in his opening press conference regarding contact with the Falcons head trainer.

In past situations with tampering, punishments have ranged from severe fines to draft pick forfeiture, to pick swaps. It seems unlikely that either of these issues, if proven to be true, will rise to the level of penalty that was handed to the Dolphins for discussions they had with Tom Brady.
