PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) Not long after Cam Heyward made his thoughts known, Ben Roethlisberger took a step back on his recent “me-first attitude” comments.

Roethlisberger originally said that over the years of his career, he watched the game go from a team-first outlook to me-first.
Former teammate, and captain Heyward said took some offense to those comments and said that a vast majority of players still focus on the team.
Thursday morning, Roethlisberger walked back and clarified his statements by saying he should have been “more specific.”
Roethlisberger said that he wasn’t trying to bash anyone, but noted that he and Heyward had discussed the topic.
"Cam and I have sat down many times in the last couple years and had the same conversations," Roethlisberger said. "I get Cam supporting his teammates. I wasn't trying to bash anyone specifically. I was just making a broad stroke comment."
With training camp opening for the Steelers in Latrobe, this may be the last we hear of this comments.
Roethlisberger will move on and Heyward will want to focus on his game and the upcoming season.
