Top fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 6
Two weeks ago, today, Kadarius Toney had caught four passes for 14 yards in his NFL career. I suggested that you pick him up in fantasy football because of a combination of injuries to fellow wide receivers Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton, as well as a significant uptick in snaps and his first-round draft value. Something had to click for him eventually, right?

Something did click, in fact, once Week 4 came around, as Toney went for 78 yards on six catches (eight targets). And if something clicked in Week 4, then something completely snapped in Week 5, as Toney went for a whopping 189 yards on ten receptions (13 targets) — not to mention the wide receiver himself snapped, throwing a punch and getting ejected from the contest.
Needless to say, even with that ejection and with an injury that might keep him out for a little while, Toney should still be a hot commodity on the waiver wire this week. He's only owned in 17 percent and 11 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues, respectively — apparently, not everyone takes my advice — and could be a legitimate fantasy asset going forward. He should be at the very top of waiver wire target lists, as far as I'm concerned, and this is your warning to do so.
Here's who joins him ahead of Week 6, a week which was marked by plenty of injuries to key players and should make for an active few days of FAAB bidding and waiver wire strategy.
