June 6, 2019 Toppert, according to 92.9 FM ESPN's John Martin, is expected to fly to Memphis today (6/6/19) and terms have been agreed upon. Toppert will replace Sam Mitchell on staff at Memphis with Penny Hardaway. John Martin also said on 92.9 Thursday (6/6) that Toppert turned down an opportunity to join the Cleveland Cavaliers staff to take the Memphis job.
