NBA Hall of Famer Don Nelson joined Jessica Benson on the Jason & John Show earlier this week. Nelson is the subject of a documentary on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumble. Nelson currently lives on 22 acres of land in Maui where he grows marijuana, plays poker and golf, among other things.

Nelson is the winningest coach in NBA history with 1,335 wins. The Illinois native coached four teams over his 30-year career. Nelson created 'Nellie Ball', a fast-paced, positionless basketball style of play now seen leaguewide. Nelson is also credited with laying the foundation for the modern dominance of the Warriors. The three-time NBA Coach of the Year drafted Stephen Curry in 2009.

As a player, Nelson played for the Chicago Zephyrs, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics in his 13-year career. The NBA legend averaged more than 10 points per game every season between 1968 and 1974. Nelson won five championships with the Celtics (1966, 1968, 1969, 1974 and 1976).
