The Memphis Grizzlies have signed sharpshooter Ty Jerome to a three-year, $28 million dollar deal (includes a player option in Year 3). Jerome arrives after a breakout 2024–25 season with Cleveland, where he averaged 12.5 points, shot 51.6% overall and 43.9% from three, and became one of only six players to score over 800 bench points. As a Sixth Man of the Year finalist, he brings elite shooting and secondary ball-handling to Memphis. His addition follows the Grizzlies extending Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama, and signing Cam Spencer, illustrating a strategic shift to bolster perimeter offense and bench scoring. Jerome fits a clear role—replacing shooting depth lost with Desmond Bane and Luke Kennard, and offering Ja Morant a lethal catch‑and‑shoot threat and playmaker on the second unit.
